Our Story

The Guitar Hook is located in Running Springs, California, a small town in the San Bernardino Mountains about 90 minutes from Los Angeles and most beach cities (without traffic, of course)

Owner & Founder, Sarven, has been a professional guitar player for over 20 years and has toured nationally and internationally with over 4000+ gigs under his belt. He also has recorded as a session player in many home and state-of-the-art recording studios across the nation.

In 2019, Sarven was hired to perform the Makers Mart Festival at Street Tree Revival (Anaheim, CA) in exchange for a beautiful slab of wood that he would eventually turn into his recording studio desk. That one desk (pictured below) grew into an obsession with woodworking and after some encouragement from his community, he began the furniture brand, Inner Cambium as a side hustle. After a few larger jobs like outfitting local barber shop Antonetti's Hair for Men (Long Beach, CA) with workstations, and display tables for local plant store Plantiitas (Long Beach, CA), Sarven decided to take his hobby seriously and go all in. 

Fast forward to 2025, Sarven moved his shop from Long Beach, California to the beautiful mountain scape of Running Springs. While still building custom furniture under Inner Cambium, he wanted to fuse his two worlds of woodworking and music together with a product line that could speak to both musician and someone who cares about the design aesthetic of their home or music studio.

Here at The Guitar Hook, we design our products with the artist in mind, by adding a bit of beauty and not just function to your studio, inspiring you to stay in the zone just a little longer. From the gypsy jazz purist to the country picker, the indie rocker to the funky bassist, the metalhead to the singer songwriter, we hope to create a guitar hook JUST FOR YOU!!!
